if only i had a brain
the vines flow through my veins
the flowers sprout out my ears
the stems poke through my sockets
it’s all vibrant and colourful in the spring
birds sit atop my hands of moss
lilac streams through my lips
ink cascading down my head
but as soon as the clouds mount above
the grays rain on me
in my own castle of solitude and darkness
washing away my colours
printing it’s flaws into my flesh
the vines pulled from my vessels
the flowers yanked off my the grounds of my ears
the stems broken off from my sockets
it’s all so dull now
i could save myself
i could escape all this
if i only had brain
instead of a heart

Such beautiful imagery, my heart <3
I don't know why, but this made my chest feel heavy. 🥹 The ending especially. Sometimes I think having a heart that feels everything so deeply is both the most beautiful and the most exhausting thing in the world. It doesn't always leave room for the good to win. I just wanted to say... please don't trade your heart for a brain. 🤍 I know the world can be unbearably heavy for people who feel this much, but it's also why your words carry so much life, tenderness, and colour. I really hope you never lose that softness, even on the grey days. This was beautiful. 🫂🩷🫶 Sending all the love and hugs your way 🧚🫶🌸
